The most common type of company in Germany is the Limited Liability Company also known as a private limited company. In Germany it is known as Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung (Gmbh). In Germany only one person is required to setup the Gmbh. The purpose of the company or a shareholders name must be used as the company name. A minimal capital is required to form the business.
